Maintaining Purposeful Pattern Recognition in Your Travel Program
Benchmarks can teach us what to look for. They can help us standardize against peers and set up a safe starting point. But ultimately, what defines a travel program's success and future is how well you can interpret its travel patterns, spending habits, and booking behaviors to ultimately set your own benchmarks.
In this workshop, we'll discuss three program patterns every travel manager should focus on: safety & risk, stakeholder engagement, and traveler wellness, and explore how to measure your program's performance against these patterns. The discussion will cover how AI-native tools like Sam are shifting travel managers from reactive reporting to proactive analytics, surfacing trends and flagging issues in real time before they impact the program.
Attendees will also practice benchmarking with FCM's Travel Impact Index and brainstorm with their peers to address gaps. Because, in the end, the most important numbers you should be competing against are your own.
